Market of Choice celebrates Oregon makers every day, including Oregon winemakers, but May is special: It’s Oregon Wine Month, that beautiful time of year to raise a glass and learn more about Oregon wine, the vineyards, farmers, makers, regions, varietals and so much more.

With more than 900 wineries making wine from more than 1,300 vineyards growing 80 varieties of wine grapes across the state, it is hard to miss a bottle of Oregon wine wherever you go. The Market of Choice Wine Stewards’ knowledge and selection are the perfect place to start, or enhance, your Oregon wine exploration. Not sure what you’d like to try? Ask our Wine Stewards for their recommendations. They’re delighted to share the incredible selection of Oregon-grown varietals and of course the stories that come with them. Many of these Oregon wines will be specially priced in honor of Oregon Wine Month, too.

Community Cellars

Among the many Oregon-made wines, we’re excited for you to experience our first partner winemaker, John Grochau of Grochau Cellars. Working with legacy grape varieties in the Willamette Valley, John has crafted a Pinot Gris, a Rosé of Pinot Noir, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir as our first Community Cellars wines. All are available at your Market now, except for the Pinot Noir, which will be released by mid-summer.

Our partner winemakers will change from time to time, but our goal will be the same – to produce high-quality, reasonably priced wines that represent its source region, Oregon.

Oregon truly is an incredible wellspring of wines that we are so fortunate to be able to sip and savor! Stop by your Market and join us in the Oregon Wine Month celebration. We also encourage you to get out and experience wine country as well!
