Today’s Treat Co. in Portland, Oregon, keeps it simple when producing its plant-based, vegetarian dog treats.
Each treat is carefully, minimally processed, starting with real fruits and vegetables that are mixed with a few all natural ingredients before being dehydrated to delicious perfection at a low temperature.
“Each flavor is purposefully paired to have the biggest flavor with the fewest ingredients,” says company owner Brian Belica. “We were founded with the idea that there needs to be a better option to dog treats that are highly processed and use questionable ingredients.”
Your dog friend can savor three available nutrient-rich flavors and textures: Mesquite Mango, chewy strips of mango dusted with peanut powder and flavored with mesquite smoke; Maple Sweet Potato, delicious sweet potato hard chews with peanut butter and dried maple syrup; and Peanut Butter Baby Banana, soft and chewy chunks of whole banana flavored with peanut powder.
Today’s Treat Co. also aims to make as minimal an environmental impact as possible. Brian believes that in producing plant-based dog treats, he uses less land and water and decreases his company’s carbon emissions.
