Oomph Cooking Blends: Oomph Compound Butters

This might be one of the easiest, most beautiful and delicious side dishes you can make. We love to experiment with Oomph and this particular experiment lead to a mind-blowing recipe that takes only about 10 minutes to make. These beautiful compound butters can be made in rolls like they are pictured or in silicon forms, like stars or festive shapes. The butters are packed with flavor and nutrition and make an excellent baked potato topping, avocado toast flavor-bomb, a way to add “wow!” to popcorn or to top meat, fish or turkey. The will be perfect for the holiday table and for the turkey sandwiches that will follow! Add to any table as an amazing side dish.
Prep Time: 30 min. (bringing butter to room temp. + blooming Oomph)
Chill Time: 2 hrs.
Total Time: 2.5 hrs.
Servings: 8-10
Ingredients
2-3tsp. Oomph Cooking Blend (you can use any of our blends to create your butter. In fact, it is lovely to offer more than one flavor variety and so pretty!)
1 stick of good butter, salted
1-2 Tbsp. water
Parchment paper
Steps
Let butter come to room temperature
Bloom Oomph: In a small saucepan add 1Tbsp butter, 1Tbsp water and Oomph, heat over med–low heat while stirring for about 1 minute. Oomph will rehydrate and form a spread. Cool in fridge.
Once cool, add bloomed Oomph to the soft butter and mix well
Layout a sheet of parchment large enough to hold all butter in a roll
Put butter on parchment in a line and roll into a log OR use silicon mold and put butter in molds
Chill for 2 hours or overnight
Serve chilled.
