Oomph Cooking Blends: Holiday Pear & Red Bell Pepper Salsa

Pear Salsa

This delicious salsa strikes the right balance of sweet and savory and is the perfect condiment for the holiday table.

Chill time: 1 hour

Ingredients

1 pear, cut into small cubes (peeling optional)
½ large red bell pepper, finely diced
1½ t Oomph Cooking Blends No. 5 Three Star
2 scant t apple cider vinegar
salt to taste
2 T fresh lemon juice
1 shallot, finely diced
Juice of ½ lime (lemon works, too)
½ t sugar (optional)

Steps

Mix all ingredients in a medium-size bowl.

Toss with a spoon to begin to bruise pear, stirring until salt and Oomph blend are completely mixed.

Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve. (If serving immediately, add small dash or two of water to help soften pears and rehydrate Oomph.)
