Koa Roots: Sweet & Spicy Passion Fruit Butter-Glazed Wings

These sweet and spicy chicken wings are the perfect dish for your game-day party. Full of flavor and easy to make, they are sure to score points with guests!

Cook time: 45 minutes
3 lb fresh chicken wings
oil of your choice for frying
5 T Koa Roots Garlic & Onion Smoked Brown Butter
5 T Koa Roots Passion Fruit Fruit Butter
¼ c hot sauce (try 2 Angry Cats, Frank’s RedHot or Crystal)
salt and pepper (optional)
Fill a deep frying pan with oil and heat to 350°. When the oil is heated, fry the chicken wings in batches, a few at a time, until done, approx. 10 to 15 min per batch. Place cooked chicken wings on a serving platter lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Set aside.
In a saucepan or a shallow pot, stir together Koa Roots Garlic & Onion Smoked Brown Butter, Koa Roots Passion Fruit Fruit Butter and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat until the glaze has come together and started simmering, 5 to 8 min.
Place the fried chicken wings in a large bowl. Pour the glaze over the chicken and toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste, if desired. Plate and serve immediately.
