MARKET OF CHOICE CENTRAL KITCHEN ISSUES ALLERGY ALERT ON UNDECLARED SOY IN CHICKEN PÂTÉ WITH ROSEMARY & LEMON, and COUNTRY PÂTÉ, AND UNDECLARED SOY AND MILK IN NORTHWEST GAME PÂTÉ

March 28, 2019, Market of Choice Central Kitchen of Eugene, Oregon, is recalling Chicken Pâté with Rosemary & Lemon and Country Pâté because it may contain undeclared soy, and Northwest Game Pâté because it may contain undeclared soy and milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The pâtés were distributed to Market of Choice retail stores located in the Portland area, the Eugene area, as well as Corvallis, Bend, and Ashland of Oregon.

The products were sold between February 15th, 2019 and March 26th, 2019 as packaged pâté slices and also from terrines in the full-service cases at Market of Choice Cheese Shops. This applies to only three varieties: Chicken Pâté with Rosemary & Lemon, Country Pâté, and Northwest Game Pâté.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing soy and milk was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of soy or milk.

Consumers who have purchased Market of Choice Chicken Pâté with Rosemary & Lemon, Country Pâté, and Northwest Game Pâté are urged not to consume if they have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or milk. Consumers can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumers with questions may contact Patrick Lowen, Vice President of Culinary Operations, Market of Choice, at 541-513-0486, from 8 am-4 pm PST, Monday-Friday.
