Market of Choice and Oregon State University Dairy Program
partner to produce Beaver Classic Provolone

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Handcrafted by cheese stewards who’ve come to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make cheese, Beaver Classic Provolone is the product of a unique partnership between a long-time Oregon grocery retailer and higher education.

Once a month, Market of Choice cheese stewards travel to Oregon State University in Corvallis to listen, learn and work as students. Through this exclusive partnership, they’re getting hands-on experience and a true taste of what it takes to make really great cheese using Old-World methods.

“We are so excited to be part of this awesome partnership. It’s truly a win-win-win,” says Christie Alexandre-Zeoli, cheese buyer at Market of Choice. “OSU’s Creamery is doing what it does best by training our cheese stewards, who are learning about quality, safety and traditional cheesemaking techniques. Our stewards are taking this knowledge back to our stores and sharing what they’ve learned. And, consumers can purchase this great-tasting, Oregon-made provolone from the people who are making it. It’s unlike anything else!”

Beaver Classic Provolone is sold exclusively at Market of Choice stores in Ashland, Bend, Corvallis, Eugene, Portland and West Linn.
