Being able to play basketball, volleyball or soccer in a safe environment has never been as important as it is now, at a time when kids are feeling isolated from their peers and are in need of physical activity.
Recognizing the need, Columbia Bank and Market of Choice partnered to supply Kidsports with 2,500 bottles of hand sanitizer through the bank’s Pass It On Project. Columbia Bank contributed funds and Market of Choice worked with its suppliers to make it happen.
“Similar to the concept of paying it forward, the Pass It On Project is very much in line with our commitment to community and family,” says Rick Wright, CEO of Market of Choice. “If we all work together, pitch in and give back, Oregon families and communities will continue to thrive and remain healthy during this time of crisis – it takes everyone.”
Oregon nonprofit Kidsports provides youth sports and programs for pre-K through 12th graders from all backgrounds in Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas with the goal of teaching children and families the joy and value of physical fitness, sportsmanship, practice and teamwork through sports and activities in a safe environment.
