Sparhawk Farms

Nestled at the base of Mt. Pisgah, Sparhawk Farms cultivates much more than the garden variety of flowers. Charles and Bethany Little harvest from 35 acres, more than 300 floral varieties.

Once a hobby gardener, Charles’ interest in flowers grew over time, working in garden centers and as a landscapist before studying horticulture. Then, in 1986, he began cultivating 15 acres near Seavy Loop Road, where the loamy soil is every growers dream.

"This is some of the best soil around, quite possibly the best in the world," Charles says. "It was a dream I had as a teenager, to live on the land and work close to home."

Today, he and Bethany run the farm together. As members of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, they’ve found their niche nurturing not-so-typical varieties, such as flowering cherry and plum, ornamental grasses and showy herbs.

So many choices make for a unique bouquet every time. And your flowers are guaranteed fresh, because they’re hand picked, arranged and delivered to your Market straight from the farm.
