Answer

Direct Trade builds on Fair Trade standards through an intimate and tangible relationship between the grower and the roaster. Roasters pay a verifiable price to the grower or the local co-op that is at least 25 percent above the Fair Trade price. In return, the grower must be committed to healthy environmental and sustainable social practices. It’s a mutual investment of energy that promotes better quality, better return and long-term viability. Market of Choice is proud to carry coffee by Portland-based Stumptown Coffee Roasters, an internationally recognized micro-roaster committed to Direct Trade standards.
