Golden Gate is the newest cheese to come from the country's oldest cheese company. This award-winning triple-crème is hand-washed in brine during the aging process to develop a distinctive orange rind and powerful aroma. Its earthy, rich and savory flavor is influenced by natural cultures in the coastal air of Marin County, California. These types of "stinky" cheeses are always my favorite, and this creamy cheese, oozing umami, certainly shines on a cheese board.
