Grüner Veltliner is best known for its use in Austrian wine, but seems to have found a new home in the Northwest. A cool climate varietal it can be a refreshing, delicious food wine as well as age very well. I’ve had the great pleasure of traveling around Oregon and beyond to find the most unique wines, beers, coffees, zero proof beverages, ciders and meads. This work – meeting the people who make the drinks that line our shelves – means the world to me, and I’m more than happy to share these great finds. Check back often for more suggestions!
