Founded in Bend by Larry Sidor, Dave Wilson and Paul Evers, Crux Fermentation Project invests in the best brewing equipment, Northwest ingredients and passionate people who create cream-of-the-crop brews. "We've designed our brewery to allow for non-traditional brewing methods, like decoction mashing, open fermentation, oak barrel aging, wild yeast strains, and whole flower hops," says Larry, brewmaster at Crux. No stranger to the outdoors, Larry has been a rock climber, peak bagger, sailor and fisherman over the years, but nothing brings him more joy than making beer. "It has been a real labor of love. Every decision we make is focused on the beer – the beer always comes first," he says.
