2 c all-purpose flour
3 T brown sugar
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/3 c butter
1/2 c marionberries (frozen)
1 beaten egg
1/4 c milk or cream

Methods/Steps

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. Cut into butter to coarse crumb stage. Stir in berries. Combine egg and milk. Add to flour mixture. Stir until just moistened (will be sticky).

Shape dough in a 7” circle on floured surface. Cut into 12 wedges. Place on baking sheet. Brush with milk or cream. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake at 400° until lightly browned (10-12 min).
