Cooking Method - Sauté

Plantains are used in many tropical countries as a quick, fried side dish and can be sweet or savory. Although they resemble and are related to bananas, they’re more neutral and starchy in flavor, delicious and easy to prepare.

This recipe serves as a vegetarian meal with a green salad or can accompany barbecued meats.

An authentic dish from the Italian island of Sardegna (Sardinia), this recipe features handmade, chewy semolina dumplings, savory sausage and salty Pecorino cheese. For a slight variation, the ragù can also be enjoyed over gnocchi. Serves 4-6.

A delicious appetizer, this warm-weather roasted pepper spread is great served with toasted bread. Serves 4-6.
