New wines at Willakenzie

In’Ka Sauvignon Blanc ’09, San Antonio Valley, Chili – Great summer wine with gobs of sweet tropical fruit up front and a nice touch of minerality on the finish. Very refreshing.

Ermita San Antonio Tempranillo ’09, Spain
– Another good summer wine. A medium-bodied red with cherry fruit flavors, and well-balanced tannins. Would pair nicely with a hamburger, or ribs.

Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah ‘08, Washington – Sourced from five different vineyards to gain complexity and balance. Dark red fruits on the nose, with a spicy blackberry palate. Another winner from David O’Reilly.

Matello Rose of Pinot Noir ‘09, Gaston, Oregon – Dry and crisp with cherry-berry notes. An excellent choice with salmon or shrimp.
