If you’re looking for something hearty, Paradigm has scone mixes and fruit syrups made locally. Also local is Garvey’s Gourmet Baking Mixes, choose a scrumptious pancake mix or Irish soda bread mix. And why not toss some nuts in for some extra flavor. The best walnuts around come from Red Barn, pick up a 1 lb. bag in the baking aisle. Also nearby you’ll find the curds and no whey—ya right—lemon curd, lime curd—a must in the Christmas basket. Put some on your next cheesecake or just eat it from the jar with a scone, muffin or toast. Delicious!

Aebleskiver mix from Columbia Empire Farms is a must – its one of the top selling foods at the Scandinavian Festival in Junction City. They also have preserves, pie filling, fruit syrups and smoked salmon all from the northwest.

Another favorite from Eugene is Crabtree’s scone mix and their famous hazelnut pancake mix in a cloth bag that is very gifty. Sweet Creek Foods from out yonder down Poodle Creek Road has something for any kind of food lover; fruit spreads, salsa, enchilada sauce, beets and albacore tuna. Another favorite is honey from Hannas Honey, Bear Mountain, Natures Energy, Heavenly Honey or Glory Bee—pick the flavor that suits you best.
