Meet Bruce

Sometimes it’s moments of chance that leave the biggest impressions. In junior high, Bruce Griswold and his classmates were granted a reprieve from the classroom and taken on a tour of a nearby Folgers Coffee plant. What intrigued Bruce the most was the cupping room. This is where professional tasters sniffed, slurped, snorted and spit coffee to determine its ta...

Cafe Mam

Fair Trade organic coffee is a pretty recent buzzword in foodie circles, but one of the companies that started it all is quietly celebrating its 20th anniversary. “My uncle signed the contract to buy the first coffee harvest from the Mam people back in 1989,” recalls Brad Lerch, the second generation to operate Café Mam in Eugene, Oregon. “In April 1990, we received our first shipment of...

Take a trip around the world as you discover Market of Choice’s endless array of specialty coffees from far-flung regions. Choose from a variety of high-quality prepackaged coffees, or explore our self-serve bulk bins filled with premium and gourmet beans. You pick the varietal and amount that’s right for you.

As a member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America – the trade association that sets the industry's standards for growing, roasting and brewing specialty coffees – Market of Choice has access to the world's largest network of professional coffee producers and roasters.

At other grocery stores, the distributor often decides what the store will sell – not at Market of Choice. We leave those important decisions to our expert coffee stewards. That is why our selection varies from store to store. What we carry reflects the tastes of our customers. If it wouldn’t pass our lips, it shouldn’t pass yours.

You should also know that our stewards dispense more than coffee; they also dole out advice. They are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and are always willing to suggest new varietals or track down one of your favorites. If we don’t carry it, we’ll do our best to find it. It’s a personal and interactive service you won’t find at your average grocery store.

Organic. Single origin. Locally roasted. Shade grown. Fair Trade. Direct Trade. We have it all, so you can feel good about what you put in your mug each morning – no matter what you choose.

Coffee at West Linn

  • When Greg Falk raises a cup of coffee, his mind often wanders to far-flung regions of the world. “Coffee beans, like grapes, are a map of the land, soil and climate from which they came. They tell a story of place, people and culture in a way that’s very interesting to me,” he says. A history major in college, Greg’s natural curiosity and insight are sure to pique your interest and keep you coming back for a second cup.
