Grow the revolution

A true labor of love, Rogue’s latest and greatest gets right down to the roots of beer making – growing your own. Made with first-growth hops and barley raised on Rogue Farms, it’s an expression of everything this Oregon coast brewery believes in: farmers, fermenters and great beer.
Grown in the Tygh Valley and Wigrich Appellations, the barley is floor-malted in small batches. “Floor-malting” is an old-fashioned and laborious 24 hours a day-, eight-day process that involves steeping, germination, raking, roasting and bagging.

“Chit” refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins. It’s a long process, but it’s the best way to create good chit, hence Good Chit Pilsner.
Brewed using just five ingredients – Weyermann acidulated, Rogue Micro Barley Farm Dare Floor Malt, Rogue Micro Hopyard Liberty Hops, Free-Range coastal water and Pacman Yeast – Good Chit Pilsner is made without chemicals, additives or preservatives.
You’ll find it in your Market Beer Shop.
